The Bellevue Club is committed to holistic health, supporting wellness on all levels: physical, mental, emotional and social. In that effort, the Club is promoting a series of events, specials and opportunities for members to practice wellness in new and interesting ways.
Throughout August, the Holistic Health Series will focus on Family Fun, encouraging families to enjoy club activities together, build bonds and learn a little along the way.
Spending time with your family not isn’t just for fun.
Studies show that quality time has health benefits: more self-confidence, fewer behavioral problems, stronger problem-solving skills, lower stress hormones, decreased obesity rates, increase in academic performance and developing parenting skills.
While the Bellevue Club always looks for new and interesting ways to engage members of all ages, August will focus specifically on family fun as a whole.
What’s on the calendar this month?
To kick off the month, the Bellevue Club Wellness team partnered with our Chef to create a Family Nutrition “Grab ‘n Go” beginning August 2, and returning August 8 and 14. Visit our Grab ‘n Go station between 2-3 p.m. to try some healthy snacks and learn about pre and post-activity eating for wellness.
Bring the whole family out August 9 for our Tunes & Brews outdoor concert. Featuring kiddie-rock band the Not Its!, there will be bouncy houses, a BBQ buffet, local beer and wine. To purchase tickets, call 425.688.3177.
For families with college-bound girls, the Bellevue Club will host an Off to College Self-Defense class on August 12. Participants will learn simple and effective ways to stay out of harm’s way on and around campus while enjoying the full college experience. Learn more by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Round out Family Fun August with games! Don’t forget, the Bellevue Club hosts water runner races every Sunday, Family Inflatable Days on Saturdays and Family Gym Nights every other Saturday completely complimentary to members.
