Roughly 20 years ago, The Paramount Theater underwent a renovation. “A group of investors, led by Ida Cole, pulled together the money. In return, the contributors reserved the first three rows of the balcony for themselves. They were deemed the Loge Section and the best seats in the house,” says Heather Davidson, Paramount Club Relations Manager. And that was the beginning of the Paramount Club.
Throughout the years, the Paramount Club evolved and various community organizations—like the Bellevue Club—joined in supporting the theater, and therefore gained access to some of the swankiest side rooms and best spots for viewing everything from modern dance shows to the biggest Broadway productions.
Extending the Bellevue Club’s privileges to our own membership, all members can purchase tickets through our Membership Office and reap the benefits. Perks currently include access to the Paramount Club entrance, appetizers (designed by Tom Douglas), and use of the Paramount Club, which includes private bathrooms and the shortest bar lines in the venue. Guests also enjoy seats in the Loge Section.
The recently released 2018-19 season has a packed lineup, including the hottest tickets in town to Hamilton as well as old favorites like Les Miserables, The Color Purple, and The Phantom of The Opera. However, there are a few other crowd-pleasers waiting in the wing for fans of theatrical dance, rock concerts and family-friendly events. Davidson recommends the following shows:
