The Surf Club Miami

Reciprocal Club Feature

Written by Lauren Hunsberger

On New Year’s Eve in 1930, the Surf Club opened as a luxurious social club located on Miami Beach. Now it includes a Four Seasons hotel with 120 residences and 30 hotel rooms. Three buildings that surround the original clubhouse were designed by Pritzker Architecture Prize winner Richard Meier, and the club remains a prominent architectural feature in the city.

There are two restaurants on the property—Le Sirenuse Restaurant & Champagne Bar and the Surf Club Restaurant. Each dining option boasts high-concept food and an atmosphere designed by notable chefs such as Thomas Keller.

The Surf Club also houses a full-service spa, two pools, 40 cabanas and two boutiques. Guests and residents enjoy nine acres of beachfront property with views of the Atlantic Ocean. Other perks include concierge and butler services.

Notable Guests

Brimming with history, the club has been a fixture in the Miami social scene for decades. Guests such as Winston Churchill, Frank Sinatra and Elizabeth Taylor are among the interesting crowd that has gathered at the hotel, restaurants and beach.
